FRANKLY, I DO GIVE A DAMN.

I'M MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE WITHOUT EXPRESSING MY DISPLEASURE AT MEMBERS OF THE CARSON CITY COUNCIL WHO CONTINUE TO DISRUPT MEETINGS BY GRANDSTANDING AND INTERRUPTING OTHER MEMBERS. I REFUSE TO TAKE SIDES. THERE ARE THREE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL WHO NEEDS TO BE CALLED OUT, COUNCILWOMAN LULA DAVIS-HOLMES, COUNCILMAN MIKE GIPSON, AND MAYOR JIM DEAR. IT HAS BECOME MY MISSION TO REMIND THEM THAT AS A "GENERAL LAW CITY", CITY BUSINESS AND CONDUCT IS GOVERNED BY STATE LAW. THE MAYOR IS THE TITULAR HEAD OF THE CITY. HE IS ALSO THE PRESIDING OFFICER OF THE CITY COUNCIL. HE ENFORCES RULES PERTAINING TO THE CONDUCT OF PUBLIC MEETINGS. IF THERE ARE ANY QUESTIONS OR CHALLENGES TO THE RULING FROM THE CHAIR, THEY ARE TO BE RESOLVED BY THE PARLIMENTARIAN (IN THIS CASE, THE CITY ATTORNEY). ALTHOUGH THE MAYOR IS ESSENTIALLY ONE-FIFTH OF THE CITY COUNCIL, STATE LAW PROVIDES THAT A DIRECTLY ELECTED MAYOR OF A GENERAL LAW CITY DOES HAVE SOME POWERS DELEGATED TO HIM BY STATE LAW. MEMBERS OF AN ELECTED BODY REPRESENT ALL OF THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY IN WHICH THEY ARE ELECTED. I KEEP HEARING COUNCILMEMBERS DAVIS-HOLMES AND GIPSON PROCLAIM THAT THEY REPRESENT THE CITIZENS WHO VOTED FOR THEM. i GOT SOME NEWS FOR YOU, I DIDN'T VOTE FOR EITHER OF YOU BUT I'M STILL YOUR BOSS, REMEMBER THAT. I HAVE NO RESPECT FOR PEOPLE WHO DEMAND RESPECT BUT ARE NOT WILLING TO GIVE IT WHEN IT'S DUE. RESPECT IS A TWO WAY STREET. YOU HAVE TO GIVE IT IF YOU WANT IT.

Saving Art and Culture in Carson

Hello everyone, it's me again the Angry American.

If you didn't think we would lose all our cultural events and fine arts programs in Carson, you were wrong, dead wrong. I believe I have a solution to this crisis, but it's going to take the best efforts of all of us to pull it off. I plan on drafting a letter to the Mayor and City Council asking for their support in creating a community based non-profit public benefit corporation to seek out and provide additional financial support to community based art and cultural organizations in the City of Carson. I ask you, members of the community at-large to assist me in this endeavor. If we can prove our resolve, the city cannot ignore our request for assistance. I also plan on drafting and circulating an informal petition the city for assistance in forming this organization. We need to organize now!

An Angry American Lashes Out

I don't know about you but I've had it with people who are stupid enough to think that they can get away with playing the race card. To hell with being politically correct. Anybody who knows me knows that I will no longer be bullied into silence. I will, "call a spade a spade" and be the "pot calling the kettle black". I'm sick and tired of being labeled by every Dick, Harry, and Uncle Tom in Carson. Frankly, if this is the best humanity has to offer, let me jump off the bus. Don't think for one minute that I won't jump all over you like a wet blanket if you accuse me of being a racist. Oh, by the way, do you know that I'm a closet racist? Perhaps, it's time I come out of the closet. It is wrong to think that everyone thinks that the color of their skin matters more than their compassion for others. I'm more than just confused, I'm incensed that there are people who think like that.

I don't care who you think you are, if you can't see fit to treat me like a human being, I don't want to have anything to do with you or your kind. (You know who you are!)

Don't bother me if you can't act like a responsible human being. Remember the Golden Rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".
